The tiger is indeed terrible but gets his comeuppance eventually, and it's a great story. My brother loved this book growing up, and the text made a fun song. I have now tracked down a copy for my nephew who is 3 and very bloodthirsty/5(8). The story is fun and interesting, but also Personal response: This book is a great example of a narrative poem that follows the adventures of the "terrible" tiger. I love that the tiger is the only thing that is colored in the illustrations. The rhythm is also really intriguing and makes it a really fun read/5.
